I own a 2006 Honda CR-V EX 4WD with a 5 spd. manual transmission and am new to this site. Lately my CR-V has been making this weird clicking sound - it occurs the loudest when rolling backwards in 1st gear with the clutch pushed in. It also makes a knocking sound when in neutral and the clutch is released. Perhaps some bearing in the trans going bad? Anything helps! Thanks.

***UPDATE***
Determined that the clicking was coming from bad synchros, and the knocking/whirring when releasing the clutch was a bad input shaft bearing. Hopefully going to find someplace where I can order a rebuild kit/parts.
