Does he have 16 or 17 inch rims? It is possible that the tires could be rubbing if he has 16 or 17 inch rims. If he has the factory rims then it could also be the springs making the noise. I did hear someone that had neuspeed race springs say that they made like a creaking noise when going over bumps in the road. I also heard before that they were noisy. A remedy that some one used was to buy some rubber hose cut the hose down the middle and put it over the first couple of coils, starting from the top of the spring. Hope this helps.

I experienced a similar sound with my front suspension too. It wasn't very loud but I could definatly hear a knocking type of sound. Ask him when he put the suspension in that he left everything loose until he raised the control arm with a jack until the car starts to lift off of the jack stands and then torque each nut and bolt (damper fork pinch bolt (holds the shock itself)) and self-locking nut (connects the damper fork to the control arm). The struts have to be tightened under normal drive height according to my haynes manual. When I first installed my stuff I didn't do that and I got nasty knocks and stuff, I did the above and it went away. I don't know if you have a tire rub or whatever, but I figured I would give my .02. Check your fender well to see if you can see any freshly rubbed away plastic, that should tell you if your rubbing.
