2000 Civic DX Cluster Issues
Hi I recently picked up a 2000 DX hatchback and majority of the cluster isn't working. I have checked all fuses and double checked again. When removing the cluster, I've checked for power using a multimeter and checked for voltage at the different 16-pin and 13-pin connectors. With the ignition on, I have voltage at all of the 16-pin plug connections. For the 13-pin plug I have power to mainly the check engine light, high beam, left turn signal, but none at power or dimmer and none at washer fluid or oil pressure light.
I tried to check the ground wire for ohms, but not sure if I'm doing that correctly in B2. I've seen post where they say to check grounds, but I don't recall seeing a screw with 3 grounds going into it under the dash.
I have my hazards, AC light, turn signals, high beam indicator, but no dash lights. If I turn the high beam on and a turn signal it kinda goes crazy and start flashing both signal and the temperature gauge raises. The car came with 2 extra gauges, and neither of those work and experience similar behaviors as above with the lights, turn signals, etc.
I tried to jump a wire from the fuse box power fuse (30) to the back of the power pin C13 and ground wire from B2 to a screw that holds the door just to see if I got anything different to respond. I didn't remove the pin in the back of the plugs, but had some fine wire to slip in there. I also tried jumping the dimmer switch wires the red/black to red and still nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
