Default 2 questions

Hey guys, i have a couple quick questions.
1) im swapping a b16 into my eg hatch (CX), can i use the stock throttle cable?
2) i dont have a "flywheel inspection cover", i beilve thats what it is called. is it an absolute necesity to have on there? i have been told no... but im not so sure. i would think that it would be. if it is necisary, would one off of a DA integra with the cable trans work? or a d seris hydro?
thanks in advance

^^Exactly. The information is everywhere, dude.

Not a good idea to leave your flywheel/clutch exposed to the elements and road debris.

i know there is info everywhere, but i havent seen anthing about wich throttle cable to use, trust me, ive looked. I also had the same idea about that flywheel cover, wich is why i asked if i could use one from a d-series, because i could just swap my current one.

If I remember correctly, you're supposed to swap the throttle linkage so you can use your stock cable.

And I'm pretty sure that everything D is too small for B, though the DA one should work without any problems.

From what I read and have seen myself...no the stock throttle cable will not work...it's too short unless you make yourself a bracket(PITA)

Your best bet is to hop over to the auto wreckers and get a 90-00 integra throttle cable and it will work fine

I would recommend putting on the flywheel cover back on because it will prevent from rocks/dirt/rain to getting by your transmission spline, clutch and flywheel.

About the DA integra one working on a d-series? I don't think it would as it's a b-series engine and with the blocks they seem to be of a larger size, so unless you re-drill the holes to accommodate where the bolts go on the d-series then direct bolt-on will not work

thanks for the info Mr.RHTuner. too bad all the junkyards i know of dont have any integras that havent been molested for everylast part. guess ill have to order it through honda, and im sure it will take a week for them to get. i worded my second question a little funny, but what i was asking was if the inspection cover off of my current trans (a z6 trans, mated to the anemic b8 motor) would work on my b16 trans. or if one off of a old DA integra would work (because i though i knew a kid who would have it). but i think you answered my question, in that it wont work.

oh yeah, one more question. ive looked for diagrams and directions for this, but have found none. wich wires do i need to splice into, or wich wires do i need to run to the ecu to switch from the 1 wire to 4 wire heated o2?

The DA integra cover will more then likely fit on the b16 as opposed to the d-series one as the size of the bolt hole placement might have been closer on the smaller d-series engine..

Your best bet would be to get the DA integra flywheel cover and install that onto your b16

Have you tried tracing the wires to their ECU pin-outs with a Z6 wiring diagram?

thats a good idea, but i actually found a link that has the wires/pin outs listed. i do have another question though, do i have to run these wires through the connectors on the left shock tower, or can i just run wires straight the ecu connector?

It's better to run them to the shock tower just for the extra flexibility and clean factor. It's not neccessary though.

actually i now have ANOTHER question. im just full of them, arent I... if run the wires to the shock tower, are the wires at the shock tower connector already ran down through to the ecu connectors? and are there pins at the ecu connectors?
