1992 Accord Automatic Tranny: How does mine work?
Hi everyone,
A month ago, I purchased a 1992 Accord 2-door Automatic from the AutoTrader in San Diego. It's got 4 gears, each labeled (from bottom to top) 1, 2, D3, D4. Presumably, I was driving in D4 for most every day driving and used D3 occasionally for hills. Recently, my car has not been starting after extended periods of driving, and I notice the D4 light in the dash blinks when power is given to the engine. So, I tried using 1 and 2 for the first time the other day, and I noticed a much faster response and increase in power! The only thing is, when going from 1 to 2, then 2 to 3, it's basically a stick shift that looks like an automatic... so that can't be correct. Does anyone know how I should be driving this thing? I forgot to get the owners manual from the previous owner.
Thanks,
Dylan
Edit: THe car is completely stock
