1990 Honda Civic AC Help Please
I've got a 1990 Civic and I am having some major issues with the AC...I've gone through 3 compressors, all doing the same thing so I am pretty sure its not a compressor. It's got a new compressor in it now, and a new dryer, new high pressure cut out switch.
Here is what's happening, when I add 134A into the system the clutch on the compressor engages and remains engaged the whole time, never disengages. The low pressure is almost at 0 as soon as you finish adding the R134 and the high pressure remains high the whole time. If you shut off the AC the clutch disengages and the low pressure goes up like it's supposed to, balance out when off. But as soon as you turn the AC on again clutch remains engaged, low side drops to 0 and high side skyrokets again.
The air remains warm the whole time. I am wondering if a faulty expansion valve could be causing this? It's the only other thing I can think of that I can change out really? Any info would be great.

Well since no one has any other ideas I am going to pick up an expansion valve tomorrow and put it in. I'll let you know if it fixes the problem incase anyone else is in the same situation.
