Default 170G Shift **** vs. 400G shift ****....

Any major differences with the throw? Is 400G heavy or is 170G light? Im torn between 2 shift ***** of the same style, only different weight, and Im not sure which one to go with.

Heavier the shift ****, the more precise the throw, right?

True! The heavier shift **** will feel more 'defined' when shifting, and will have more intertia when going into gear = easier shifting.

i've got a 440G shift **** from Skunk2, and when combined with my Skunk2 Short shifter...its the best feeling shift pattern i have felt in a honda(maybe minus the S2k). I love it

oh yea,

im my opinion heavy = good

the heaver the better positive engagement you will feel..170 seems too light for an aftermarket **** to me.

the heavier the better.

Lots of people with FD RX-7s put thier stock shift ***** back on after replacing them with aftermarket. The stocker is quite heavy, and that's what makes the shift feel so precise and solid.

go for the heavy one.

when the **** is heavier it can also drown out vibrations from the tranny.
using a lighter ****, you can feel every scratch of the synchros if u have any.
get a heavier one... makes u feel better.

I went from the Skunk2 **** to the Spoon.

The Skunk had great engagement feeling, and the Spoon does too. In terms of effort the Skunk was much easier.

I might try and pick up a Skunk again...I'm pretty happy with the Spoon.
