I removed the battery in my gf's 04 civic dx and the radio set off the security code BS. So i did the hold 1 and 6 code and turned the radio on, it flashed....

I know this is the serial number, but the owners manual wasnt included when she bought it from the previous owner. so i searched on here, saw some people have a way to get codes, i was hoping i could dig it up on here rather than pay $30-40 at the dealership.

go into you local dealership, they can get it for you

 

just call any honda dealership and give them th e code and its free...your only charge if you take the car in...give them the serail number and its like 10 second...n

 

Search the posts for radio code.

Try contacting the people getting codes like Kenso or Unvdis.

They are very helpful to a lot of people, if you can't get the info from the dealership.

 

nah its not my gf just a random chic that stops by once in a while lol

i ended up calling the dealership and they gave me the 5 digit code, so all set now. thanks for the input fellas.

yeah i got it from dealership, but thanks a lot for getting it dude, I appreciate it. I was just about to come back on here and post it and saw that you had beaten me to it.

 

On the older honda the radio code is under the fuse box cover in the engine bay. I know you have it already but just let anyone else know who stumbles in here.
