02 CIVIC SI CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
miss shift and bent some vavles and broke camshaft, replace valves, camshaft timing chain, guide, arm, but check engine light for camshaft postion wont go away, car running very sluggish, check timming it was off set back to TDC ran find for about 50mi and now runnin sluggish again anyone encounter this problem before and howdid you fix it anything well help at this point thanks
You bent some valves and broke the camshaft??.. Did you happen to grind the camshaft too?.. If so, where do think all the metal shavings might have gone??.. Sounds like you might have a bigger problem.. There was a s2000 that did something like that. Remedy replace the block and parts in order to remove all the metal shavings..
Reinstalling the camshafts in those engines is supposed to be somewhat complex. Given the 50 deg of intake cam rotation, a potential misalignment makes me think you might have tapped some valves against your pistons ever so slightly and they are burning right now.
just a guess.
just a guess.
