no matter what i do, it wont tighten...the exhaust side is tight, but not the intake side. i did what one member told me, but still it's loose...come and help me please....i'll give you dvds....please.


The tenshion bolts is loosen
then put on the timing belt was put on
turn the crank half way
tighten the tenshion belt
timign belt is loose...someone help~~~~~

sounds like the tensioner is stuck ...... try working it back and forth a few times to see if it unsticks

 

u mean keep doing what i'm doing?

 

Set crank at TDC
Set cam gears at TDC
Install belt from exhaust side to intake side
Tighten tensioner by hand until tight
Rotate crank counter clockwise 5-6 times
Stop at TDC
Loosen tensioner 180 degrees
Rotate crank counter clockwise, count 3 teeth on cam gear
Stop
Tighten tensioner to 40ft/lbs

You're done.
