*Help* Boring ?.....
Can anyone help.....
Here's the situation, I took a block to a local shop to have it bored out. (suppose to be bored out .25 = 81.25) Now the problem is that the local shop bored it 40 over...can anyone tell me what bore size it's at now? How much more will i need to bore to get it to 82mm if it's not there yet?
Sorry if it's a newbie question, just need some answers.....any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You.

WoW.....thanks for the fast reply!
Now this leads to another thing....will this be alright for 82mm pistons? will the rings seat right? or is it o.k.?
Anyone has the charts to figure out the bore sizes? Dogginator?
Once again...thanks!

For the B18B1 and the B18C1 engines, the standard new bore is 81.00 to 81.02 mm. The service limit is 81.07 mm. Extrapolating from that, your 82.016 mm bore should be fine for an 82 mm piston. Do they make an 82mm piston? I've only seen the 0.25 mm overbore pistons (OEM).
