Default "Tiny bubbles"........and its not the song!

My cuz is having issues! Radiator fluid is being pushed into and out of his radiator overflow and there are tiny bubbles in the mix as well. This being nothing but bad news we cracked the head and found some interesting results. First off here are the specs of the motor: B18C1 (GSR) bored and sleeved by golden eagle to 85mm, 12:1 compression, portflow head with all the goodies, stock honda OEM head gasket laser cut to fit the bore, stock head bolts and the motor has 4K miles on it

After cracking the head we found out there was no dropped sleeve or cracked head gasket, thats a relief...... i think. But we noticed that there was a lot of wear on the head gasket between each cylinder but no visible cracks. Cylinder 1, i think..... the passanger side cylinder closest to the distributor had a tiny bit of rust on the wall but all other cylinder walls are ok and spotless.

Our conclusion is the head might not have been torqued down enough or that it was torqued down wrong. A new head gasket along with ARP studs and more torque is what we are thinking to solve this issue.

Any thoughts on what the problem could be? A solution or any ideas would be apriciatted!!!!!

Peace Out,
Palmertime

Do not overtorque the head studs past the recomended specs that ARP gives you. Be sure to use the ARP assembly lube so you get consistent torque. If you are confident the head is torqued properly and to spec and your problem has not gone away, then the problem lies elsewhere.

they recomended torquing 70lbs, but my gasket still leaked. then I retightened it 75lbs, oil like is now dimminished to gone. it sux that at times you have to retorque ARP....... next time try AEBS. I regret buying ARP, even though everyone is for it.. I was thinking AEBS is better designed; and does not require torquing after 1000 miles or so.
