Default what to do?

just wanting somebody's opinion on which type of suspension setup i should run on a eg hatch. the car is gonna be a weekend car/ nice day car so i still want it to be street able. people i know always tell me to go with coilovers. but i have also heard that a good strut and spring setup is just as good if not better. i want it to be rigid and pretty hard and to be able to whip around turns haha. and it would be nice to know some brands that you guys think i should run. thanks

Its usually good to include how much your willing to spend my man. Your going to get 100 people telling you Moton but then again 10k isn't cheap for suspension...

-How much can you spend?
-What type of suspension do you need? (i.e- coilovers, sway bars, strut tower, etc. . . .)

Best of luck to you!

First off, your EG does not have struts. It has shocks.
Second before asking what setup to get and what not, ask yourself if u want a setup that is race proven setup like a penske or moton. Then you need to consider ride quality. A race suspension is not going to be comfortable in the street IMO, but some people do DD with rates like 16k. Finally u got to consider how low you want to go. If you want to be "slammed", high spring rates are required to keep ur front UCA from hitting the shock tower and from bottoming out the shock.

And search. People have asked questions like this 10000000xs over

You don't really need aftermarket LCAs, tie bars, x bars, 'strut' bars. Money spent on these items would be better spent on dampers and tyres.

Some nice coilovers and swaybars are from Progress Technologies. The ASR rear subframe brace is the best IMO. Mugen,Carbing, or PasswordJDM are nice strut tower bars. Then add some sticky tires and most importantly a good alignment. Thats really all thats needed and still doesnt add up to 5K. Lower control arms are a waste of time/money really unless you get Function7, and even then not really worth it. The X-bar and pillar bars arent that great either... just get a nice bolt in roll cage, other than a bling bling Cusco, like an Autopower.

It really depends on what you're looking to get out of it. If you just going to be driving around on weekends trying to impress high school kids then get something JDM like TEIN, etc. Get some strut bars that connect to 17 different points inside the car too.

If you're going to AutoX or track the car and want all out performance get Koni SPSS3 race shocks and ground control coilovers, an ITR sway with beaks kit, or ASR rear sway bar. Good track brakes and fluid, and a set of good tires.
