Default struts/spring combination

Hey all,

I need some help.
I need to replace struts in my car they are terrible. I would like to go for as plush a ride as possible.
I have been looking into the tocicko blues or kyb gr2 struts, some ideas please one which offer plusher ride.
I would also like to drop my car a bit if it wouldn't make the ride worse. I was checking out skunk2 lowering springs or tein h springs. any ideas on which if any I should go with, or just stick with stock springs?
One of the sites I am looking at skunk 2 springs says 2"-2.5" drop this seems way too much, any one know if this is correct ?

Thanks very much,
Joe

I'm no expert, just to state that up front. But I would assume, that as long as the shock can correctly control the springs motion, then the ride will be as smooth as the spring allows.

The lower you go, the more spring you need. With lower ride heights, you have less available suspension travel, so it needs to be stiffer to not bottom out. The stiffer the spring, the stiffer the ride. Everyone's idea of comfortable, and "plush", is subjective, so no one can truely tell you what would be best for you. However, stock springs and good shocks are probably the best bet for a comfortable ride.

Thx for the info Tuner.
I understand what you are saying, and it makes sense. I will prolly go with the tein h tech springs( for a small drop) and kyb gr2 struts. Hopefully I will end up with a decent combo.
