Default Strut bars

My friend was trying to install strut bars in his car from another car. He's wondering can a improper install cause problems? Everything seemed to line up and bolt down good, but he feels as if the rear wheels are shifting side to side at high speeds. Is that normal?

I can assure you, a shock tower brace will NOT cause the rear wheels to shift around.

I'm assuming the upper shock mount bolts were tightened down properly?

Yes, they were tightened down with a torque gun to spec. What else can cause shifting of the rear. It feels like it's going shifting left and right. I had an alignment done, everything checks out. I also had a mechanic look at all the rear suspension..

Do you mean torque wrench...cause if it was an impact gun then they are not torqued down. what kind of vehicle?

4th gen prelude, it was a 5th gen prelude strut bar. it was a torque wrench, not an impact gun.
