Default is this right???

i just talked to someone and they said that if i wanted bigger front rotors and calipers all i would have to do is swap out my dx calipers and rotors for the civic ex ones??? i have a 98 civic hatch.

No. That will not work at all. You have to swap the complete knuckles. Your best bet would be to find an EX in a local import salvage yard and just pull the knuckles, with brakes attached.

You will also need the 7/8" EX/Si master cylinder to maintain the stock pedal travel, and the proportioning valve from a non-ABS EX to maintain the stock brake proportioning. However, if you intend to swap rear disc brakes onto the car in the future, keep your stock hatchback proportioning valve, as it is the same as the '99-00 Civic Si valve (which your modified brake system will be emulating).
