Default need the knowledge

thanks to the people of H-T for helping me as much as yall have so far!!

So for my question (wich if theres a sticky somewere you can shut me down and give me a link) im trying to learn whats needed and not needed, i know its all about personal driving experince but ive learned cmber kits and top hats are pointless almost wich i didnt know, along with rear LCA unless you need them for sway bars, so thanks for that,

i have a ef civic we are putting a gsr in with a trany with a cusco clutch type lsd, will only be a weekend car i have 3 other vehicles plus my roads suck so bad in louisiana trucks are the only DD option lol

im 100% conveinced koni/GC is what i need for shocks and coilovers, im trying to build sumthing to just have fun with, more technical driving than straight line with some track time couple times a year (strictly for fun)

sway bar setups and possibly strut bars seem to be good investments but need a little more insight on it, speacialy with brand i want legit products that arnt overpriced but ill pay for quality, also thinking energy suspension bushing set, ride quality is not important as ill only be driving it for fun, function is key

thanks in advance for any info and the stickys are super helpful btw!!!

you're off to a good start. You can avoid the shock tower brace, or any braces of any kind for that matter. I think the core of a "fun" car is something that you personally can afford to beat the snot out of but keep it running and functionally weekend after weekend. For some people that means tires, brake pads, entry fees, etc. and if you really are going to get involved in track days then you'll certainly be glad you didn't drop several hundred dollars on control arms, braces, roll center adjusters, engine dampers and all that nonsense.

Koni/GC is a reliable choice. You got spring rates in mind?

thanks everyone!

and yeai was shootin for either 450f 450r or maybe 500f 450r, dnt wana take to muchof the dampening out the shock with to high of a spring rate, not trying to "slam" my car either just lower center gravity some

I believe 550 is the max optimal dampening for Koni's.

That sounds reliable. How low are you looking to go? Also you might want to get a firestone lifetime alignment $152, that how much it was when I got it In Jan 2012. It was originally 170, but I signed up for their credit card and it brought it down to 152 total.

not sure on how low, deff not impracticle, just enough to get the center of gravity down some so body roll not as bad, and i dnt trust our firestone lol btill check into it, we just have a shop here that dose amazing work that mostly everyone uses, very honest people. also like i said a stiff ride isnt a issue ive had other lowered vehicle, i just want track style performance out my suspension
