Looking for a setup
ok so i've got about 800-1000 to spend on a suspension setup
so i've been thinking of
H@R Springs or Skunk2 Springs with a set of nice Koni's
anyone have any ideas for struts and i'm leaning towards Skunk2 springs becuase idc if there stiff and dont give me nice ride. I'm looking for performance not just the "dropped" look
Password JDM Sturt Bars
after i that some HX wheels with better tires then i have now (crappy Proxy4's so no tires till i get ride of these rims)

Skip the strut bars for now.
You can get Koni Sport 'yellow' dampers and Ground-Control with custom rates for under $1000. Koni/GC would be the most versatile out of anything out there under $1000 in my opinion. The reason I'd suggest GC over drop-springs, even if you don't really need height adjustability, is for the versatility of fine tuning the feel by being able to easily swap out your springs for different rates.
Also, the higher the spring rates, the stiffer it will be and therefore the less compliant and more 'harsh' the ride will feel. Though I will say damper valving has a lot to do with how the system will feel, and Koni yellows, imo, have one of the better feeling vavling out there. The off-the-shelf valving will suffice, but I prefer the feel of the SPSS3-racing valving.
As far as springs, I'd stick with either Eibach ERS or Hypercoil, these two brands are used in almost all major sanctioned racing and are equipped on many top championship cars around the world.

My vote would have to go to Koni yellow dampers and Ground Control coilovers ... run a quick search for this combination and see how many people recommend this setup ... you absolutely can not go wrong

those people are idiots. GC uses only Eibach Racing Springs on their setups, which can be had in just about any spring rate and free length you can think of. You can easily swap around different lengths and weights of springs to fine tune handling just the way you want it. They have been track proven by thousands of autocrossers and road racers.

GC uses ERS springs from Eibach. These springs are used by almost all forms of sanctioned racing and are equipped on many of the top champion cars in SCCA, NASA, NASCAR, Formula, you name it eibach is there. Either that or Hypercoil.
Who'd you hear that from and how do you want to substantiate your claim?
