Im sure they can. I had tein ss's before and got into a accident and 1 shock was leaking a lot of oil, they revalved them and cleaned them all up within 2 days.

Since the other person ran a redlight, its the other person's fault. Just tell the insurance company that the shock/springs are only sold in sets of 4! Allstate gave it to me under "Performance parts" in my last accident. You deserve a little extra for all the trouble this accident has caused you!

aftermarket parts fall under a different category(says the insurance company) they need to be notified that they will be put in the car when they are purchased, and that would cost me more. So they will only replace parts back to stock.

That's total BS. You tell them that "Tein suspension" was on the car and it was damaged by the insured. When someone is at fault for the damage of your property, they are liable to cover any and all expenses neccessary to retrieve an adequate replacement or repairment. Any court in the country will not tell you otherwise. If you don't believe me, swing out to the local small claims court and seek advice from the courts public legal advisor.
Its Allstate, I have dealt with them recently and all my aftermarket parts were categorized as "Performance." From the corner lenses(purchased in pairs), down to the 15inch tire/wheel.
The estimator is lying to you. I recommend you tell him that your friend had an experience with Allstate where performance parts were reimbursed.
He's just mad because his commission will be downgraded because Tein flex is so expensive and no retailer in the country sells just one shock/spring. If he can't find it, you'll get the cost for all 4.
