Default Help: Tein Assembly

Ok here’s my thing. I bought some used tein SS coilovers that where already assembled. I took them apart to clean them. I looked on the tein website to make sure they where put together right but It seams that they where not. On the website it shows 2 washers for the top mount but mine has only one. Does any one have any pics of how they go together? I would like to get them on my car so I can get it aligned. Any help would be welcomed. And thanks in advance.

I am assuming you have a 96-00 Civic. If you are using the OEM upper mount you will need to re-use two OEM washers. The one on top is a black, semi-thin washer which sits on top of the OEM dust cover on the OEM assembly. The second washer, or the one on the bottom is a silver washer. Thick and contoured. Flat side facing up. This washer will rest on the piston shaft. The SS and OEM piston shaft have two diameters, the upper section where the upper mount goes is a smaller dia., and the portion which goes into the shock is a larger dia. This silver washer sits on the piston where the piston shaft changes diameter.

Hope this helps. Please contact us if you have further questions or a different vehicle.
