ef setup
looking for feedback on setup for street and track:
88 ef hatch
full-race front crossmember
racing gear jtc n1 coilovers 10k front 12k rear
energy suspension bushings
pwjdm strut bars
hf front swaybar
asr 32mm (road race)rear sway bar and brace
function 7 lcas
rolling on rt-615 205/50/15 tires, ls mesh alloys (for now)
have most of it on but havent had the chance to drive it due to weather and changing underdash harness
using swift springs so if you think these may be to stiff i can get 4k assist springs to help soften them up for the street

Can't say that I would set up a street driven EF like that at all.
I didn't/wouldn't even set up my solo/TT car like that.
I'd forget using tender springs as a crutch, and buy some proven dampers + coils with the spring rates you actually need instead of the rates that a manufacturer found convenient to include. 672 lbs-in rear springs and a 32mm rear bar with 6" wheels and street tires? Honestly?

racing gears are proven, rates wernt included.rear bar is hollow not solid.work vsxx 15x7s are in the works for the street, but for crying out loud not used on track.now please offer proven setup....unless this is just a hack.your court.

By who? 240SX street stunners? Do you have dyno charts?
I'm plenty familiar with the ASR 32mm bar.
Maybe some background information will help? Budget, use? Handling problem you are trying to solve?

reason why im here, your thoughts on setup thats proven please.or or you here to hack.your court.
gtmotoring rsx, price was steal, under recommendation of guy that runs them, staying on top of things considering its fairly new for that car.ok,budget is not an issue but not trying to buy moton.double duty as weekend car, have company car for work week, and track car, walter mckinney getting me slowly into h2.it was the recommendation that to help the car turn in better that a stiffer rear spring and sway would help.
great to talk to, helping me 4.9 final and lsd my trans when weather breaks.small events nothing to speak of.ive had them on twice, scary until there warm.other than the rear bar and switching from 10k front 8k rear to 10k front 12k rear.these are only changes so far just havent had the chance to take it out yet.also the rear bar is road race not autox, which i think i have the thinner bar.

interesting note ben ogle posted a thread saying 400lb front 500lb rear was a good starting point in beginning a track setup for an ef.and used on the skunk2 and gc coilovers.which i believe translates into 7k front 9k rear.i was told the racing gear dampers are good up to 1000lb rates but NOT for street use at all,or stock/poly bushings.also i was told if the rear turned in to much i could use a progress 22mm front sway bar.this would be less agressive but still relieve understeer.

also considering a progress 22mm front sway bar if its too aggressive.

hatch.came on coilovers to begin with,to stiff maybe for crap dampers.the rear bar is large because its hollow.as much as ive enjoyed the input,i think a drive will better serve this setup.thank you all for you thoughts.

I think with nearly 700 lb/in rear springs and a 32mm sway bar, you're going to need something like R-comp tires to keep it from breaking loose instantly around a corner. I would never, ever drive something like that on the street, not even to and from the track. It's just too dangerous.
