Does bushing really make a difference?
My 2000 EJ8's suspension feels like crap; it's 12 years old and the shocks are pretty worn out. I'm going to get some Progess CS-II, and while I'm at it, should I also replace the bushings? I can rejuvenate them, or should I replace them with something stiffer(or something that can help me feel the road better)? I heard Energy Suspension is pretty good, but I'm clueless about bushings.
Here's what I've found http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...rod=16%2E18110
Any suggestions? Thanks

Are the bushings torn?
Normally, yes bushings do make a big diference. Mine did. I put ES bushings in mine, but hopefuly with be switching to PIC.
I would take a look at the PIC or Hardrace kit first. They are a full bushing replacement kit, where the ES isn't. With poly you have to keep them clean, and lubed, rubber you don't. However, with rubber you must clock the bushings, you don't need with poly.
Even with that, theres nothing else you have to do with rubber. You install them and leave them.

No you cannot rejuvenate them. If they are torn or blown then replace them. Just like anything else that is worn or broken on your car.

They aren't torn nor in bad shape, but since I'm changing the suspension, I was wondering if I should replace them while I'm at it.
**** that nonsense. Energy Suspension pivot freely and regardless of what others say, I have no regrets or problems with them. 17,000 miles on them and they all look and perform like new. That 17,000 miles isn't just casual driving either, we are talking abused a few turns at least once a drive. Yes they make a big difference in response.
