Default Coilover Questions?

I was wondering which suspension would be better to get Ksport or D2. Im looking at the difference in ride quality, Adj. of Height (which one can go lower) Etc. I have only heard GOOD things about Ksport and not much on D2 Coilovers. Want to slam my car but dont want the suspension to bottom out on little bit bigger bumps, pot holes, etc. Any and ALL comments are welcome.

Post Pics if you have any of either suspension set-ups THANKS!!!

Really? I've heard plenty of negative reports about Ksports, at least the older ones.

I'm pretty sure KSport and D2 and Function/Forms are all the same made-in-China cheap coilover, just with different labels.

I know that a LOT of people have the Koni Yellows and GC sleeves but i dont know the ride quality of that set-up and also the ride height (low) adjustability of them i see that a lot of SLAMMED civic have that set-up and use the GC Top hats and as well some do the fork trick.

Nor can you, as GCs can come with any spring rate you want. The ride quality is entirely dependent on the spring rates used, and whether or not the shocks can control the springs.

If low is your goal, you want to order from a place that offers custom rates, so that you can buy springs stiff enough to handle your desired drop, but not so overly stiff to kill any remaining ride quality.

I know TEIN has some good quality and good feedback from their customers but they cost a preaty penny when you order something other than the TEIN basics...

^^^ I want to lower my car about 3 to 3.5 inches and dont want to bottom out real easy any suggestions... Spring rates, set-up, etc.???

LOL

that's just another strike to those TDM piles.

As stated before all of them are the same low quality part.

Lowering 3-3.5 inches and not bottoming out of giving up travel/use is going to be rather tricky.

Is low your goal or to handle?

Well I want it to be LOW but i dont want to bottom out like CRAZY either The ride quality doesnt have to be the best in the world something that i can live with (little bounce here and there, Low/minimum travel, NO bottom out unless BIG pothole, bump Etc.,) Dont want to spend 1K on suspension and it be CRAP when i install them.

ANY Suggestions? on Set-up?? Does anyone on here have experience with the FUNCTION FORM TYPE I is the ride quality good and how is the adj. on the set-up???

I have heard the same thing about KSport and D2 and Function/Forms ....they all provide the same ride..and are about the same price....if you go low, you will get a stiff bouncy ride even at the softest setting on the damper....that sucks for a 900 dollar coilover!
