Default Coilover problem

I've searched and found a bit of info on this but not exactly what I am looking for. My friend installed some coilovers he bought at a local store on a 1994 GSR yesterday and with the perches adjusted only 2 cms from the top of the adjuster cup thing the lip of his rim is still tucked and is not really driveable in our area, nor would he be able to leave his driveway haha.

Does anyone know what is going on there? I tried to help him adjust the height, we brought it up to the height it's at now but I don't know if it should be adjusted any higher as the perches are only a about 2cms away? Wouldn't any higher make it a bit dangerous incase of the spring actually leaving the perch or something?

Any suggestions?

What type of coilovers? Pics would probably help too.

To be honest they look like crappy coilovers. They look similar to dropzones which I used to have on my old car an MX-3.
They are blue though so I don't think they are dropzones.
I cant get pics now because I am at work and am going there right after work to see if we can figure out whats going on

Probably Maxspeeds then.

Did you put the front and rear sleeves on the correct way...or do you have them on backwards by chance?
