blown shocks?
hey guys i just wanna know what you think. a while ago i noticed my del sol sagged lower in the front left corner. and it wasn't by to much so i didn't pay any attention to it. now i noticed today my whole car has kinda gotten lower on its own. it is so low i can’t fit my fist between the tire and the car very well. what do you guys think is wrong? do you think my shocks are just blown? if so can i replace just the shocks and not the springs. (i am a little tight on money i have just spent some mone on a turbo.) is it possible to just buy a set of KYB AGZ's and use my stock springs? what do you guys think?
I'm not sure if blown shocks will affect ride height in any way. I always thought the springs determined ride height.
That said, yes, you could totally buy new shocks and use the stock springs. Koni Yellows come with spring perches to re-use the stock springs and other shocks probably come with the same hardware as well. Just double check what hardware comes with whatever shocks you choose.

You got some cheap *** springs, and they sagged plain and simple.
Blown shocks will not alter ride height. They simply won't be able to do the job of controlling the springs, and you get a bouncy ride. Shocks themselves don't hold the car up, if you think about it. Take a shock off a NASCAR car and put it on a stripped down Geo Metro with no springs, the car will instantly dropped to the ground and the shock will bottom out under the weight of the car.

Yeah, if you got aftermarket lowering springs, they probably just sagged different amounts. Just put the stock springs back on and call it a day. You can focus on suspension work after the turbo project. And suspension work is relatively easy, so there's no need to try to do both turbo and suspension work at the same time (not like doing timing belt and water pump or something...).
i have my stock springs in. i took my car in today to have it looked at, and it was just that my stock springs have started to sag. i am guessing it is from the compression they were under during the body roll when i was autocrossing. so i guess thats what you get for autocrossing with stock springs
so in few months i am gonna get some GC's and most lily koni's. any objections to waiting a few months?

I've never heard of stock springs sagging, especially not after an autocross. Some lowering springs will sag because they're low quality and after being under load, they end up compressing more than they were initially. I highly doubt your stock springs have "sagged." Springs don't wear out like that. They should last longer than the car.
