Time to pull the engine in my '94 and go through it. Around here (outside Denver area) there are a few builders, but most only like the big V8 stuff and have an attitude about "rice-burners". Their attitude is theirs, but NOT someone I am going to have build an expensive 4-cyl. engine. Some others I just can't get a comfort level for- they seem kind of hinky. Many don't even know how to fill out a tech-sheet for a custom piston or valve set! I won't trust an engine build to .0001" specs with this type lack of experience.
Any info. for experienced 4-cylinder engine builders in the DENVER area would be greatly appreciated. Please, names of builders who built you, or someone you know, a very solid, dependable block and head. I need someone who can THINK. Most of the parts are designed, need someone who can help with the spec-sheets for the pistins, etc. Not a "cheapo" block, fairly expensive internal parts, it needs to go together right the FIRST time, no excuses.
