Its time to Rebuild
Ok im building my H22 i have an extra H23 should i use the crank of the H23 will it give me better power cuz it has more stroke than the H22 also im building it to be all motor should i use H22 pistons,H23 pistons or should i get Type S pistons i have eagle rods that im gonna use witch pistons would be better also i wanna try and keep it smog legal Thanks
Keep in mind that if you use the H23 crank, you wont be able to spin to the same rpm's as your H22 can stock. You will get a boost in low-mid range power from the extra displacement. Also, if you want to use the H23 crank you will have to use H23 rods (stock or aftermarket), Im not sure if the Eagle rods you have now are for an H22 or an H23.
Are you currently turbocharged? If so I dont think going with Type-S pistons would be a good idea since they are high compression and more for an NA application.
