Auto seatbelt noise, loud. Easy fix?
1/5 times itll be a loud squeaking noise that will be like that until the belt is done moving. Im guessing its the motor since the sound is constant and the sound doesnt move. How easy is it to take the panels off and get in there to replace it? Would Honda fix it for free under the warranty. The belts work but 1/5 times the one belt is loud. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
My guess is that the track needs a bit of lube. Try some silicone lubricant and see if that helps. I don't think honda would fix it free because its a "wear" item.
It doesn't hurt to ask them though
. But if its a 99 it would only have a 3yr warranty on something like that making it expired in 2002.

from what I understand all motorized seatbelts have lifetime warranty since they are a safety item, for example my Dad's old 89 jaguar xj6 had over 180xxx when he took it in because the seatbelt motor was seized and draining the battery. (they work just like integra/accord motorized belts) and he was told it was mandated that they warranty them, not that they wanted to....
