Default Need remove battery tray?

Do I need to take off the battery tray to remove the engine and tranny (Civic Si D16a6). I unforunately stripped a bolt for the battery tray.

It sure helps to have it out of the way..
I have pulled/installed the engine through the top
and also out the bottom..
Either way I removed the tray to have more room..
