how to change seatbelt harness..crx
I have 4 points in my rex...i know what your talking about. Someone told you oh well i mean you can put jdm seats back there so your holes should be pre drilled for their seat belts...WRONG there arent none. You pulled that box off and seee that tar and on both side above the gas tan are these plugs? dont pop um out cause its not under there either all you see is your gass tank so dont drill either....you know what i did?i bought a nice 2in wide by a 1/4 inch thick steel flat bar and welded that bitch tot eh rear tower mounts drilled my 4 holes in that ****** which took forever then bolteed those bastards in...wony ever come out though
..lot of people tie them yo their strut bar and die when they crashj hard cause the stru bar bends or breaks...i asked a cop when he pulled me over he was all well the difference is you got a bar that could probably support your whole damn car so i would think your pretty safe...so there you go its like 8 bucks for a 6 ft peice and i welded but you can have it welded for prolly 15 bucks...have fun....oh PS the bolts that go by your side you have to drill holes in your floor...

hmm thats funny because the chance of that happening is very slim and less of a chance then a regular seat belt. My buddy got in an accident last week they said he would have died if he didnt have his 4 point. And no you dont need a roll cage if you bolt it up right or do what i did with the bar in the back...i seriouly doubt a 2x1/4 in thick steels gonna break and let me go..i can see it possibly breaking your collar bones....hey kid you'll be fine just do it right get some info from others except that guys the devil so dont listen to him...whats the worse that could happen? you could die right? well just make sure you beleiive in god and your good to go....

Tell me this is a joke. I can't tell. I know for a fact that they don't teach you to predict the future in paramedic class, and I'm pretty sure they don't teach that in police academy. I'm wondering who "they" is.

You are a ******* idiot. If you wanna go spreading stupid **** about how to make HP have at it, but when it comes to safety, keep your mouth shut. Now take a seat, class is in session.
1) 4pt harnesses are NOT LEGAL IN ANY RACING ASSOCIATION. In the event of a head on crash your body will want to go forward, the only way it can do so with a 4pt is to go under the harness. This is known as "submarining". When your body does this, the lap belt will travel up into your gut, and under your ribs, possibly breaking them, and smashing up all of your internal organs.
2) If you run one without a rollbar, then your body will be held upright in the event of a rollover, the roof will collapse, and your body will have no where to go, so you will either break your neck, or it could get swiped clean off. This is why all OEM belts are 3pt, and allow your body to roll to the center off the car, away from the roof in the event of a rollover. If the car doesnt roll, and you still have harnesses without a rollbar, you are going to experiance "spinal compression". You will most likely mount the chest belts somewhere to the floor, and in the event of an accident, the belts will pull down on your spine from where your shoulders are, down to where the belts are mounted. If they are on the floor, it will create a nice 90 degree angle against your spine, compress it just like a slinky, and cause all kinds of nerve damage and what not.
3) Either run a 5pt harness, non-adjustable race seat, and a atleast a 4pt rollbar, or nothing at all. Both systems are designed to work with the components in each. Take one away, and it all fails, and your *** could be seriously hurt.

Very true. Also rollbar padding, and gloves.
