This is a question without an answer. It entirely depends on what you want, your personal preferences, your desired goals, what you do with the car, etc...

I think the question should be, "What do I want from my car?", and then see if boosting it is part of the answer. If it is, then see which form of boost will work better for you.

You mean "better" as in reliability, power, speed, "looks"?

then supercharger.. although both are forced induction. personally, i will most likely do a supercharger down the line with my SiR. turbos are cool if you want to build the fastest car in the world.. but when you run out of money and find a point when you just want some extra speed over most other people on the road, then you'll want a blower. also.. there isn't much to it.. kinda easy to install and once it's in.. thats it. no boost controllers, bovs, intercoolers, lag, etc.. thats just me though. i had two turbos on my last car http://www.cardomain.com/id/afbartel and now i'm back to the reliable tegra.

Yeah a Jackson Racing Supercharger on a stock LS running about ~8 psi will only yield around 160-170 WHP if i am not mistaken. That is what i have heard. In comparison to a turbocharger, you wont make as good gains, but it is much simpler and easier to deal with than a snail.

 

my friend says superchargers are better and turbos dont last that long and have problems.

 

well my friend says his ***** is bigger but its not true

 

i had a t3 once, but now its just a bottle of nos. its cheaper.

I hope you are not planning on slapping a turbo or supercharger on it and that's it.

installing one or the other is going to make the life of the engine shorter. But there are things you can do to pro-long the life.

Me personally i would go with a turbo because....

1. the sound is better
2. i like the idea of pulling air better than the idea of pushing it.
