Has anyone tried the Remocon RMC-600 Remote?
Here is my situation:
I bought a 92 Integra, which had a VSE (Vehicle Security Electronics) alarm installed by the dealer when it was purchased new. I believe the model was the Stealth, the FCC ID is CZV7R2TX284. The remote looks like this:

Ugly isn't it.
Anyway, so I want to get a replacement remote, because the previous owner said it doesn't work well. I know the alarm actually works fine, but the remote is a little bit unpredictable - I have never got it to actually shut off the alarm, it just tends to emit a high pitched whine, and the button is not functioning well. I ordered new batteries for it just to make sure it has enough of a frequency signal to program a new remote.
I tried ordering a new remote from Remotes Unlimited, but they charge $60 for some universal one, and I have to send in my old one to them (probably so they can program the new one) since my remote was discontinued and VSE has fallen off the face of the earth.
I am pretty sure they will be using the Remocon AT/RMC-600, as this is the only remote I have seen advertised as working with VSE products. I can get it on ebay for $30, so I would prefer to do that, program it myself, and keep my old remote. Here is the Remocon RMC-600.

Has anyone used the Remocon remote? the Skylink remote? or any other universal remote that could work? I am pretty sure my alarm doesn't have any ability to codehop, since it was made in the early 90s.
Thanks in advance!
