Default JDM 4th Gen Cluster Question

I searched to no avail. Do the JDM 4th gen clusters have amber backlighting or is it greenish like the USDM/Canadian ones?

Thanks,
Sean

You can always replace the bulbs to achieve the desired lighting.

if you want the accords (94-97) to have amber backing, theres a thread in here that covered that many times.. since i'm a nice guy..

steps:
1. remove gauge cluster..
2. unscrew the speed, rpm, temp, gas.
3. use nail remover (thats if you have women in the house)
4. scrub the back (where it is greenish) until the greenish is gone,
5. replace the 194 bulbs, wit red/orange whatever you please, (note:u have to paint the 2 small bulbs, they dunt sell those in other colors.
6. be careful not to touch or scrub the letters in the front, those comes off as well.
7. let the bulbs dry, popped it all back in place. this took me 1 hour to do,
8. install it back into the car, waa laa.. amber jus like civic si n integs.

have fun..

and yeah i forgot.. i'm not sure about 90-93 accords, i tried it on my friend;s accord.. the green coloring didnt come off, but you can try using some other chemical like paint thinner, but be careful those are dangerous and they hurt like hell.. hahaha dunt break any needles, they are fragile...

I read that thread where it talked about nail polish remover, but I was still wondering if it would work. I wish I had a spare cluster I could try it on instead of having to pull mine out.

The nail polish remover/paint thinner will work on the green backing of the 4th gen cluster? Sorry if I'm asking something you already stated, but I need clarification as I don't want to pull my cluster to find out I can't remove the stuff.

I was under the impression that all 4th gen clusters were green.

94-97 cluster will not fit into the 90-93 accords, tried it, the plugs are different, but if you know your wires, then u may try.. ::f22a:: for 4th gen, u can try using paint thinner, cuz i tried wit nail remover didnt work, so good luck and careful with the needles.
