polishing wheels

i'm going to be using aircraft remover to get all that **** of my wheels and paint. i plan to polish them should i remove the tires will the aircraft remover eat at my tires

in other word strip to bare metal and use steel wool and polish them from coarse to fine

well the guys on the civic forum usually do it on the civic hx wheels they do the lip and i'm going to follow their DIY and do the whole wheel i hope they won't rust they said to apply buffing compound and let it dry then buff it off and use mothers mag polish
If you have alloy or aluminum wheels, then it won't rust. I used paint remover and some of it got on the tires before. They were fine, but I only had the tires for about 4-6 months.
