anyone here switch to obd1 distributor on 1'st gen b16a
I'm sure there are a couple of ways of doing this, but, what do you all do? I'm adding Hondata to 89 civic dx with 1'st gen b16a in it.
Couple of complications:
1) How do I get any other distributor to fit my head?? 1'st gen b16a distributors are unique the way they mount to the head.
2) The plug does not match up from obd0 to obd1.
The logical solution would be to gut out a 1'st gen b16a distributor, and replace all the guts from an obd1 distributor.
What do you guys think?

They do, but they are not available anymore. It's the stage 2,3,4 systems. Nobody can find them around here at least... but I'm in New Mexico...
If your local shops can still get them, or if you know anyone who wants to sell a stage 3 at least, let me know.

Here is the answer to your Dizzy delema sir.
Looks like he increased the price from $20 to $35 bux.
Well the other solution is just to repin your stock harness to OBD1 which will be much easier and cheaper.
All you need is to get the OBD1 Dizzy plug and wiring diagram to match up the wires, very simple. I made my own dizzy Harness.
Try IM Newman , cool guy. I got my OBD0 - OBD1 ECU harness adaptor from him and now is suppose to be makeing other Harnesses like the O2 and Dizzy so everything will be a plug and play thing.
Here is his harness thread, this should help with your questions.

You will need more than just the dizzy and the plugs... you will need the ecu and some other stuff. Get a dizzy from a 95 del sol dohc vtec. It will bolt right up. PM me if you have any questions... I just did the swap about a week ago.
