Hi
Thanks for your mail.My client is ok with the vehicle and has agreed to settle for
that price .
I have also just finalized payment issues with him some hours ago, and he has
informed me that he is expecting a refund payment of a vehicle that he had
earlier ordered and paid for about a month ago, but the order was later
cancelled, because when the agent went to pick up the vehicle, he inspected the
order and discovered that the vehicle was not the same one in the AD, so the
order was cancelled, and then he filed in for a refund of his money.
My client now intends to use this refund to pay for your vehicle that he now
wants to buy. Due to company policy and book keeping, this refund payment
which he is expecting, can only be made out in this one whole amount, that is the
full amount which he paid before, because the company policy only allows a
refund payment in one cashier check, so he has to instruct for the check pay ment
to be drawn to you. So he has informed me that payment will get to you in a
cashier check.
He is expecting a refund payment of $26,300. When payment gets to you, you
are required to deduct the cost of your vehicle which is $19,500 and return his
remaining balance of $6,800. back to the shipper for him to be able to offset
shipping charges, tax and other commission charges. After all payment has
reached you and balance sent to shipper,he will now come for pick up, while you
send the receipt and other title papers to my client via courier.
You are required to forward your payment information (1) name,(2)address and
(3) phone number for payment to be made to you immediately.
just thought i'd make everyone who's thinking of putting there R up for sale online

I received a few of those last year when I was selling my Audi. You may be able to forward the entire email to the FBI, they have a fraud area on their website.
******* scams man . they are all over. Autotrader is a big scam though. i emailed and called people about cars i wanted, to only get spam in return and marketing calls once messages were left. its all bullshiut, i dont trust thaty site at all .

I like the ones that you get in the mail that say the following:
"Omarsilinskor Guyarminari is your distant reletive that has passed away unfortunately, but fortunately you are the heir to his 8 gazzilion dollars. All we need is your bank account # to transfer the funds".
Those of you who have recieved it know what i am talking about.......i beleive it makes its way around email as well!

WTMF Brian?!?
You're selling that pimp sled already?
Back on-topic. I had no scam emails when I sold my Hype R two years ago on Autotrader. I did, however, get a lot of phone calls of the "y0 I'll trade you my '94 GSR with an intake straight up!" variety. It took about two months to sell.

i got the same emails about 10 times when i sold the old BMW. i called autotrader, they said they couldn't do anything. i called local authorities, they said they would do nothing, i called state authorities, nothing.........didn't even bother with the FBI.
i got them too and i went along with one of the guys so he mailed me a check and then he called me. He used a aol operator service, where he types some thing and the operator reads what he wrote over the phone it was realy weard i went to the bank with the check and the bank said the check was cashed in TX. for.95 cents(note the check he sent me was for $11K). When i left the bank i looked at the check when i was 100% it was fake i could see it said void vert lightly in the check where it is hard to see until you realize it was there then its as bright as day.

Not only is that a horrible scam, but it appears to me that the 'would-be' thief, doesn't have anything higher than a High School education. He used a couple fancy words, but for the love of God; Those are the worst run on sentences I've seen in my life!
A poor example: When I was looking for my G4 powerbook on ebay, I would say about 80% of the listings for the 17" were all fraudulent. For about five months, daily, I would copy all the questionable auction numbers and email them to the ebay fraud unit. Though there were so many fraudulent auctions, I saw quite a few of them get shut down. I finally bought my laptop on ebay and feel that I maybe made it a little safer out there for a couple other people who were looking to buy.
Moral of the story: Though it's time consuming to report all these people, your doing some complete stranger a favor by making it safer for him. I don't know if that is important to you or not, but it is to me.
Nail those suckus! Contact the F.B.I fraud unit like someone early had suggested.

When I was selling my 99 Oldsmobile Cutlass, I had one of those too.. I sold it a few weeks later to a girl in Charlote, Mi but that guy actually sent me a check for the car plus like 3000 over what I was asking for....Then send you the check to get you to send to difference of the money back to there account so they can get your account number and rape you for money. FBI didn't even respond to my emails and I even got in contact with the bank from Illlonois and told them that someone was producing fake checks, they appreciated it.......anyways, I know it sucks but just don't sell your car to someone unless they see it first.....
