I was not aware any adhesive was used. When I took mine off I found what seemed to be the remnants of a foam pad or something used to cushion the wing so it wouldn't be in direct contact w/ the body, but it wasn't adhesive.

I think the foam is just to create a water tight seal for the mounting bolts and holes. Its not holding the wing down at all, I'm pretty sure the 4 bolts can do that alone.
well i am not sure my car is a gsr butc ame with the ITR wing. and i've seen post where people have told other people to use "fishing line" or somthing like floss to cut through the adhesive so i just though it had some.
Yeah, just like PatrickGSR94 said, the wings I have had experience with haven't had any adhesive.....just some foam thing to prevent scratching between the two surfaces.
Perhaps if you had an aftermarket wing (or not stock, as you said by your ITR one), the person might have used adhesive.
In any case, you don't have to worry about removal and installation. Just use the bolts and a piece of a similar foam and you'll be fine.

there is no reason to seal any water out on a Type R hatch because the bolt holes only go through to the drip rails outside of the weather stripping.

only way i can think of putting on and takin off a wing is to get the metal ones with the metal brakets.. you can just unbolt the wing from the braket, or put it back on when you think it would help

you mean like those ghey aluminum wings?
oh man if I saw a car driving around with just those brackets bolted to the trunk, I would point and bust out laughing.

I am not being an *******.......Use some velcro, that way when you want it, you can put it on....when you dont, take it off....
Seriously....its one or the other, If you go wingless (which seems to be the craze now) you will have holes left, which looks tacky, if you have a wing already (seeings how you said you had an ITR hatch) stay with the wing.
