5th Gen Blue Tailights???

Would something like this be possible, or even legal? I was thinking about getting all clear tailights and painting the top half blue to have it look something like this.
(The pic above was photoshoped)

I agree, you can do whatever you want but it needs to relect red when the brake lights come on.

only police, other emergency vehicles cant even have blue
CA law says, front lights can be clear or amber, taillights can be amber or red (no clear in back), reverse light has to be clear, now i have not been able to find anything in the vehicle code that says there has to be red reflectors, however all cops say this so they have an excuse to write u up for modified taillights...even though they arent "modified" but replacements...

To be DOT legal, the car has to reflect red from a distance behind the car (it is either 50 ft. or 50 yds). Notice I said reflect red, not produce red. Your car has to reflect incase it is on the side of the road and the hazards are not on.
I had to learn the hard way that ONLY emergency vehicles can have red lights.
A guy at autozone told me that your (front) blinkers could be white, amber, or red.
Cop disagreed and gave me a 260 dollar ticket.
