Anyone else get this problem? Everytime i hit the throttle, makes a squeek noise, started making that noise after I changed my timing belt. Not exactly sure what it is anyone got an idea?

 

After I put my ITBS on last week, it did that. I think mine is the throttle cable.

 

the tbs will do that..thats why i took mine off...that sqeaking is annoying.

 

Did you check the tension on the timing belt, on both sides ?

 

My car makes a slight "pssh" sound when I really get on it...like going from first into 2nd. Sadly I wish this was because I was rocking a turbo....but I'm not.

It comes from the left side of the car and I'm pretty sure it's not the tires grabbing for traction. Belt slippage perhaps? I'm not sure if it does it with the a/c on or off :\

 

Yeah i havent checked the tension on the throttle cable yet, ill do that later today, but the noise it makes is similiar to when you get a piece of metal and grind it on a grinder gently. annoying as ****. thanks for the help

 

if you took your accsessory belts off to do work on the engine and didnt replace them with new ones the old ones will do that noise. go down to autozone and buy new belts and adjust them correctly and the noise will go away. i dont recommend tightening the belts on their now because if their old they need to be more tight and this could lead to other problems
