i need some help making mid range power on gsr

Default i need some help making mid range power on gsr

I'm planning on going for more mid range power. My car is a daily driver and thats wher i spend most of my time in the powerband. My goal for the motor is around 190 hp with great mid range power. The motor is a jdm gsr and I allready decided on the BC III+, cams but alittle confuesed on some other stuff.

Lets start with the intake manifold. I know the stock gsr IM had two sets of runners whicg gives it good low-to-mid range, but would i be better off going to a single stage IM? Or even ITBs? i could also port out the stock IM to retain the dbl. stage runners. Also what size Throttlebody would be best...i was thinking about a type-r or maybe a fer mm over...but im still not sure.

As far as the header I have a DC 4-1 with the 2.5 flange, but i heard a 4-2-1 is better. so i was planning on the apexi header with a 2.5 flange. Has anyone had any bad experences with one.

okay, one last thing. the motor comes stock woth a 10.6:1 comppresion ratio. i wanted to either use some flat faced valves or a two layer head gasket to raise the compression...maybe both. would this be a good idea for what i am trying to do?

what's your budget?

as far as the header..i'd go with a jg/edelbrock header modified with a 2.5 collector.
