1990-1993 DA6 or DB1 OWNERS - quick question for you.....
I heard that our automatic seat belts are covered lifetime by Acura. Well , my driver side belts actuator went bad and i now have it in the retract position so I don't get **** form the POEPOE - Is this true that Acura covers seat belts and automatic faults? I searched tru EBAY, G2ic, and here for anyoen parting out their DA's to see if I can grab their assembly but nothing cool and cheap...
thanks yo! and post if you have the same problem and how u fixed it!

yes, the seatbelts have a lifetime warranty as long as you don't tamper with it. So don't try to fix it yourself, take it to the dealer.
You didn't find the articly on G2IC about the auto seat belts 'choking' people? I found that odd and interesting. Yes they are covered by the dealer for life.
Yes the dealership covers the cost of parts and labor. If your car has a salvage title the warranty is no longer covered.
like everyone else said junior, take it in and get fixed for free. seatbelts are DOT regulated and have to be kept in working order so i'm pretty sure all dealers have to service any cars seatbelts if they malfunction.
you guys are all aweosme and very very helpful..... it sucks though as i do have a salvage tag and it wont help me....worth a try though right? do they call my insurance to find out or what? i am the 2d owner.... too , does that make a differance?

Its definately worth a try.. Bring it to the dealer and tell them to fix it.. Let them tell you what they can or cant do.. If they say no just bitch about it.. they will end up doing it lol
junior i don't think they call your insurance or check the title. i'm pretty sure they will just do it, since DOT would be on there asses if they didn't.

and schu since it is set by DOT the car manufacturer is responsible to replace or repair it otherwise the vehicle should never be sold or driven in the US right.
unless you tried to mod the seatbelt all honda/acura cars have lifetime warrany on seatbelts. i used to work for honda i had to deal with that crap a few times . we replaced a seatbelt on a 85 accord. it was covered. i am 90% sure on it call a dealer closest to you and talk to a service advisor
