has anyone's dissy gone bad and failed screwdriver/stethoscope test....failed meaning placed instrument on distributor and not heard noise.....having a sickly scream from engine bay, trying desperately to find source.

you havent seen a tech put a long screwdriver to a specific park/location and his ear on the other end to determine where a sound is coming from? back in the day people used broom handles for the same thing. that's before my sister started riding them.
