Default busted upper ball joint.

How long can I drive with it? Can it be replaced or do I have to buy a new upper control arm?

Please do not drive w/out a good ball joint. Replace what ever's busted. Easiest wayis to find new control arm at a junkyard.

u have to buy the whole upper control arm. i was retarded and bought it fromt he dealer and it cost my around $200 a side. so if u can go to a local car parts store liek NAPA or some place liek that try there before heading to the dealer.

autozone dont carry them, i was replacing mine couple month ago on my 89 acura legend.

the UCA and ball joint are one unit, junkyard unit will not last considering the amount of time it had too.

pretty much all the aftermarket oem style uca cost around 100 each vs. 200 oem price.

i got mine off ebay(taiwanese knockoff) for 80 dollar per side included shipping.

you do not want the ball to fell off when your car is in motion, that one hell of way to lost control and crash

I bought a set of upper control arms off Ebay. They are NEW OEM ones. They cost me about $70 + S&H. If want I can give you a link to a really good supplier off ebay so not have to wait for auctions and the more you buy they cheaper they get. Good luck

Here is the link for suspension parts, all are OEM, and if you don't see it there you can message them and see if they can get it. I have bought a load of parts from them and never gotten a bad one, as they are all brand new OEM parts.

http://stores.ebay.com/Arm-Can-Auto-Parts

and if you need gaskets for anything this is a wounderful sorce also. I got my lower end gasket kit from them and yea, all OEM and about 1/10th the price of the dealership and 1/5th the price of parts stores. There are a few rare ones that are about the same price. But its always best to buy from the small business then big business. Less mark ups and way less hassel.
I have bought gaskets for three cars now. Everything from a simple valve cover gasket to a Re-Ring kit. All are OEM and they all usually show up in about two days time.

http://www.partsdinosaur.com/

and yes they are both on ebay, but its always good to know from others who has the best deals and who can get the job done right without all the crap.

Good luck and Don't drive with broken ball joints. If I had the pictures hosted I would post some of the things that can happen when the break out. Tires buckle, rollovers, and lots more.

Be Safe

On this one you have to use this link for honda parts as he has not finished his web catalog on that yet. So here is there ebay store link with the honda parts:

Hopefully soon they will finish their online catalog.
