Default OBDI ECU for F20B

I have a 1998 Accord SirT with the bluetop F20B engine and I wanted to know what the best OBD1 ECU would be for that engine?

Thanks

you can probably run a p72 off a gsr. Might have to have it tuned with hondata or something like that.

The stock ECU is the best one. DO NOT RUN P72 unless it is chipped with hondata/uberdata..............................

There are debates about the chips, but with Hondata, just run a p28. You really don't need knock sensor or the secondary butterfly anyway.

If I'm correct you want to convert to OBDI so the stock ECU won't work. I would think you could go P28 w/ Hondata.

Thanks for the help guys.

One more thing.

Is there anywhere that I can get the P28 ECU already modified by Hondadata for the F20B? Or would I first have to buy a stock P28 and then get it modified?

You could try Ebay or something for one already chipped for Hondata but you might not find many. You may have to buy one first and then send it off to Hondata or find a shop that will take care of it for you.

Thanks,

I have been looking around EBAY and there does appear to be some possibilities.

What do think of the OBDII workaround as a possible alternative?
I found a site which tells you how to install a switch to cut the backup power to the OBDII ECU to prevent it from learning about your mods and adjusting for emissions. As far as I understand it, the main problem with the OBDII ECU is that it in essence "detunes" your engine when you mod it. So if you can prevent that you don't need to do the conversion.

tell me what you think

I haven't really heard much about that method, but I would really suggest completely ditching OBDII, it just sucks.
