Default Should I sell my car as is? Or return it to stock and sell the parts? whats it worth?

I may be selling my car and I'm trying to decide if I should try to sell it as is, or take most of the aftermarket parts off and return it closer to stock.

its a 94 gsr with 125k miles

pretty much everything has been replaced on it, except for the paint job. there are the normal dings and dents and stone chips and a couple very minor spots where rust is starting to bubble. the paint job is the only thing wrong with the car.

I'll list some of the things that i can think of:

3" short ram, Comptech header, Carsound Cat, and ITR catback
15" gunmetal rota circuit 8s with kuhmo 712s
also have a set of 14" steel wheels with blizzaks
bilstein shocks / eibach pro kit springs with ES bushings here and there including motor mount inserts
cross drilled rotors, stainless brake lines
kenwood kdc-x815c cd player, polk components with a sony amp and a kicker comp12" in sealed box with an mtx thunder amp
type R front and rear seats, arm rest, floor mats and trunk mat
neuspeed front strut bar, neuspeed rear tower strut bar, neuspeed rear sway bar, neuspeed rear lower tie bar

im in the middle of removing the JRSC and fuel pump, gauges, etc. the jrsc was on there for 5k miles BTW.

what do you guys think? how much is it worth as is? you can be honest, but, dont be a low-baller.

I got some of the stock parts, like the intake/header/cat/catback and i got the stock springs and front shocks, but the rear shocks we cut off. i also have the stock speakers so i could remove my components and amps, but i'd have to come up with a headunit. i could remove the strut bars, but i dont have the stock front one. i dont have the stock rear sway bar either. i dont have the stock seats, but i'm sure i could trade stockers + cash for the ITR seats/mats/etc. i probably wouldn't find anyone around here who digs the circuit 8s either.

hmm... i could take all that stuff off and sell it on here and then ask less for the car and maybe sell it quicker... you think?

whats the car worth as is now?

what its worth relatively stock?

I've owned the car for a year and purchased it with 110k miles. I've done all of the maintenance/modification myself and I absolutely love the car. However, I'm looking for something a little more mature and something that will slow me down. All maintenance has been performed... new battery, new ITR clutch, pressure plate, bearings, etc. new plugs, rotor, cap, fuel filter, tranny fluid, valve adjustment, etc. i change the oil around every 2k miles. last time i checked the compression it was 200 across the block. the car runs very strong and drives perfectly. i'm sure there are several things i am missing.

PS. Those pictures may be old, I'm really lazy about taking recent pictures. At least it gives you an idea though.

Make sure you leave the strawberry in there I guess it depends on who's buying it; i.e. sell it on ebay and you might get like $4000 above anywhere else w/ mods on

I was looking for Gs-rs back in late october, did a lot of looking around before i found mine. With those mods and mileage Id say you could maybe expect around $9500 from the right buyer. The least I would say is 8500 to about 10500 at the very most for as is. If you have the time and want to put the effort into it Id say part it out. especially if you have the stock interior, If not I have astock 94 gsr interior in nearly mint conditon . Not to mention other stock parts from my 94 milano GSR.

lilmikey-
Personally, I think you would get more money in the long run if you stripped it down back to stock and sold the parts separate. I'm not just saying that either, but, if you do sell the parts separate, I've got some grey 94 stock gsr seats if you wanted to do a cash/trade thing....just let me know what way you are gonna go....

ugh, I don't know how many times I said this. Here goes.

Go to any of these websites to find out the value of your car. Remember, these will be the value of your car in stock form.

kbb.com
edmunds.com
autotrader.com

Selling the car in stock will probably attract more potential buyers. Selling the car with those mods will narrow your buyers down (Performance oriented people like you and me).
The average buyer won't look for mods, nor will they calculate the price of mods into the value of the car.
But it's really up to you.

And I'm not just saying this because I'm interested in your springs, header, seats, strut/sway bars either.

Just wanted to let you know, I have a head unit from an older accord (i think) that will fit in your integra. I was going to sell mine and put the stereo back to stock but now I get to keep my car!!! *grin* anyway, it is a double DIN unit (both cd and cassette) with the serial number on the top in case you need to get a code. I will take 50 plus shipping if you want it, it is just taking up space in my closet at this point. Anywho, if you need it let me know. inigo9910@hotmail.com

How much are you selling the JRSC for?
I listed it in the classifieds for $1850 shipped last week. That is for the 6psi kit and a Walbro GSS-342 fuel pump. I haven't got any bites on it yet. I wasn't in a real big hurry to sell it yet, just because I had not taken it off the car yet. However, its off now, I just need to clean everything up. Which of course I will work on... once I put my stock intake, etc. back on

Didn't you post something up a couple weeks ago, about how you were going to fix up your car? Now you want to sell it? Anyways, I think you will get more money, if you returned it to stock.

kikkoboyie, FYI...

Koni Yellows by themselves aren't height adjustable. It's springs like Ground Controls that make them adjustable....

I've got Koni Yellows with Eibach Prokit... The height isn't adjustable, the rebound setting is what's adjustable.

Yeah, that was me. I change my mind more often than I change my underwear. (ok, a little exaggeration there!)

On one hand I want to slap on a body kit, repaint it, build up the motor and slap on a drag3. Weeee! On the other hand, I want to part it out, sell it and probably buy an Accord V6 thats automatic and will slow me down. In the middle, I thought about selling it and buying a $500 beater and driving it until it falls apart. Oy vay, what to do? I definately need to get my driving record clean though, the insurance rates are killing me.

You can lower your car more with the Koni Yellows on a G3 RS/GS/LS/GSR. I can lower my car around .3" by adjusting the perches to the lowest perch. I adjusted my rear shocks to the top perch so the rear of my car wouldn't look lower than the front with my Eibach Sportlines. There's 3 perches in the rear and 2 in the front. For the Neuspeed versions, there are even more. So yes, height *IS* adjustable!
