Default Lambo Doors for the Accord

Anyone put lambo doors on there accord? I am thinking about it.

Found a cool site, http://www.LamboDoors.com that offers it for $49.99

Doors that swing up and prevent door dings, what a concept...

no please don't. you will regret it later, but if you really feel you must then you might wanna check out another forum. this really isn't the forum for that kind of car mutilation.

I dont understand how its going to solve your door ding problem. When you open your door to get in the car, dont you slowly open them and avoid hitting the other car?

OK, now think the other way. How are "lambo" doors going to prevent others from dinging your door when they get in their cars? Unless you're going to keep your doors open all the time, you've created more problems than solutions...

a couple major points...the only complete kits i've seen are in the $600-$1000 price range...just make sure that the $50 kit you are paying for isn't merely instructions on a DIY lambo door project...also, i've heard that this "conversion" makes entry/exit to/from the car a royal pain in the ***, as you don't have as much room as you once did...this would probably be a bigger issue for a 4 door car than a 2 door, but still, an issue...

well, most kits do cost around $900 for Accords, and the best ones are from Decah Doors. I personally think they are a royal pain in the ***, a total waste of hard-earned money, and really don't end your door ding problem. see, even the best door conversions still have the door open like a factory door for the first 6 inches. after that, the conversion hinge takes over, and the door swings upward, and twists slightly. this will still cause door dings, and still make people pissed at you. probably more pissed than before, because you invested the money to prevent door dings, and you still cause them. just my ideas, though. plus Decah still has problems with their door holder struts. I've seen alot of them go out.

Yep, another thing is that when you open your door it will push horizontally out about 4 inches then pivot up. Kinda ghetto in my opinion but hey its personal.

edit: beat me to it.

This is straight form the website "Description: This kit includes a Do-it-Yourself step by step instruction manual and a supplemental cd on how to convert your existing car doors into vertical scissor doors." Don't waste your money man. And as for my oppinoin i actualy think it looks sorof good on some cars but it's the biggest pain in the *** gettin in and out. My buddy's got it on his mazda6, sure you do trun heads but you also look funny as hell getting in if its icey out and you slip and fall on your ***. Conclusion

you probably would look like an idoit in the cold weather, but if you are trying to prevent dents and such, get a good alarm hit the gym and everytime you hear it go off run out to your car and comfront the inconsiderate peice of **** that probably drives a 300$ car without insurance, and knows about four words of english, and tell them to pay for the damage etheir that or deal with it like the rest of the people who appreciate their car. society is a kick in the *****, the more you have the more people want to **** it up!

thats even better, cause now you have evedence when the cops come after you **** the little haters up. now what would make two people egg someones car? dirt ball *** *******! If you do get an alarm go with the python 881, you can start and cut off your car the remote is digital, it can page you up to a half mile ! thats if you are in the open of course . it cost about 500 and installs a little hefty but its worth it. and to finalize your security system get an attitude ajuster and your set! good luck with the eggers

Another common problem is the weather stripping. After you do all this the stripping is more likely to contact incorrectly and cause leaking.
