got a problem...need some answers
I have a B20B with a b16a head swapped into my 92 hatch. I'm having a problem with the idle. It's jumping from about 1-2.5 thousand rpms. I'm thinking it's one of the sensors on the throttle body, but does anyone else have ideas as to what it could be.
Do you mean it jumps from 1k to 2500 on the RPM? Try spraying some WD 40 around the intake and the throttle body. Thats how you check a vacuum leak. Sometimes if there is too much air during idle, the computer would compensate by giving more fuel, so the engine would increase.
you can try taking off your intake, and making sure that the throttle plate isn't stuck open, then make sure all electrical connectors are snug, and intact.
did this happen out of the blue, or has it been doing this since your swap?
