ITR dies when car is put in N/Clutch In while cruising or moving
Very weird problem that has been plaguing me lately. It does not occur every day but rather once every 2 weeks. ONLY during hot weather and never when it is cool. Temperature gauge is normal where it should be.
The car will die (stall) if I put the car in Neutral or clutch in while driving. It does not matter what speed I am at. Whether it be 60mph or 30mph, the problem will still occur.
Mods include:
VAFC (tuned)
JUN ECU
JUN 3 Cams + Valvetrain + Gears
ATS FD
Clutchmasters clutch + Flywheel
I have another friend with an ITR with the same problem. His also does not occur all the time. Usually happens when it is hot and I slow down for traffic by pushing the clutch in.
Has anyone heard of this? Definately seems electrical rather than mechanical.

I say it has to do with fuel or ignition
change plugs, maybe the ignitor is going bad

Yes, had same issues with an LS/VTEC we built...I am not saying it is JUN 3 related but we did have those cams..................never had a chance to fix it
If you rev the rpms before you put into neutral.Does it still die then,or no?.
I had a problem when i was coming to a stop.I'd have to push on the brake and keep my rpms up for it not to die.
I had to replace the little plastic check valve that comes off of the master cylinder.
Part#33247
Hope this will help

Freakin hell yes, I hope that works on our car when we get it back together....you talking about the check valve inline the hose from the booster to the intake manifold (vacuum source) or the valve that hooks that line into the booster?
thanks

I'd replace the check valve before even thinkin about the IACV.
Solved the problem i had.So i'm sure it will solve some of yours as well.
