1) what color does the Honda MTF oil has?
2) can I use ATF oil too? Honda gave me that for my ITR, it is red and seems light.
3) Whats the difference between those 2 oils

but why gave me my dealer a red oil...I think it is ATF......
is it possible to mix it with a heavier engine oil?

ATF should only be used with automatic transmissions. It is red in color.
MTF is more like motor oil (same color) It is thicker and should only be used in manual transmissions.
Why he gave it to you? I have no idea.

If you don't have MTF, you can use engine oil in emergency.
Never use ATF, why would you mix it?
Maybe your dealer misunderstand you. No Type R had Auto tranny...Ask him about MTF II..

the ATF is thicker than the "GM Syncromesh friciton modified" which many people recommend for ITR ..... that is confusing me.......
I don't believe that the GM stuff is better than Honda's MTF II.
They don't get the MTF II there in the US, just the old MTF.

I was told by a Honda dealer that MTF-II has new additives and it's synthetic. They don't use MTF-I anymore.
