Do a search. This topic has already been debated among many in this forum. If you don't live in California, you have a slightly better chance of getting it registered. If you live in a town where you don't have to get your car smog checked to get it registered, your pretty much golden.

Prepare to spend about $1,300.00 just to ship it to the Seattle or Oakland ports.

g00d luck, you will need it. I spoke to a guy in my area a few months ago who has a legally registered R33 Skyline GTR (sexiest caR evaR) he said he bought it from Motorex in Cali and had to wait nearly a year for all his paper work and *** kissing to pay off.

The ca either had NY or Cali plates BTW.

I know it can be done, I'm not too worried about the shipping because I've heard that the military (I'm in the Navy) will ship the car, I started to order stuff for the car, (by the way parts in japan are outragous!) But its a 97 japanese 100% ITR. But thanks for the heads up fellas/ladies.. If anyone can help me out any further please give me a shout out. Thanks yet again!

I think if you are in the military you are allowed to import one car legally or something like that. Good luck
